Koshick Reesaul was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mauritius Land Transport Authority (MLTA). This new body will oversee all institutions related to road transport and pilot including the light rail project.

Koshick Reesaul, holds a doctorate in engineering, and now former number 3 of the Traffic Management and Road Safety Unit , received his acceptance letter from the Department of Transport on Tuesday July 30. The official, who directs the light metro project, will give a new impetus to this folder as head of the new centralized institution.

The Mauritius Land Transport Authority , will include the National Transport Authority , the Road Development Authority and Traffic managemen t and Road Safety Unit .

Last Friday, the Cabinet announced the appointment of Serge Petit as Chairman of the board of MLTA.
