New ID Card: Distribution Phase Starts this Week
The ten centers conversion constructed across the island are ready to welcome members of the public. - Ebony, Cyber Tower 1, Cybercity
In December, it was the turn of the age group of 23-33 years, 211,000 people. The other categories are: 34-44 years, from February to March 2014, 45-55 - April and May, and, finally, the more than 56 years, the period from June to July 2014 .
An entire organization was set up to accommodate this important parade of members of the public. Once at the conversion center, they will be ranked in order of arrival time.
Then starts the processing of documents: the original birth certificate, proof of address, the current identity card or a police document (in case of loss) and marriage certificate, if applicable .Then up to the stage of fingerprinting. The officer also takes a picture of the applicant.
All data are checked and the form of distribution is then validated. A receipt is given to the applicant and the procedure is completed.
The card will be ready two weeks after these procedures. Suffice applicant to submit its receipt. The officer will check if the new card belongs to the applicant against-checking fingerprints from a reader. The applicant then validates the card signing the form of distribution.
