Weather Forecast: Tropical Storm at Wednesday

Mauritius could go into cyclone warning soon. Weather station Vacoas issued a special statement, this Monday, Feb. 3, indicating that there is a risk that a tropical storm forms in the vicinity of the Mascarene Islands by Wednesday.

Satellite images show a large area of low pressure with several low pressure centers. And one of them should be intensified rapidly into a moderate tropical storm. It should be closer to Mauritius.

Rains are expected to Rodrigues and St. Brandon starting tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4. In Mauritius, the weather could deteriorate quickly from Wednesday afternoon with thunderstorms overnight.

Moreover, the time should not be lenient tonight. Rainfall is expected in the north, east and central plateau.
