Ukraine: Protesters Clash with Police ...
Several thousand anti-government protesters clashed with police near Ukraine’s parliament on Tuesday, torching a police truck and hurling stones in the first real violence in the capital Kiev in more than three weeks.

The protesters marched to the parliament building in a move to keep up pressure on President Viktor Yanukovich to relinquish some of his presidential powers.

This video shows violent clashes between police and protesters near the parliament.

Ukrainian president Yanukovich has been battling the opposition-led street protests since he walked away from a trade pact with the European Union in November and opted instead for forging closer economic ties with Russia, Ukraine's Soviet-era master. The protests have since broadened into a revolt against perceived sleaze and corruption in the Yanukovich leadership.

Russia acuses Europe of "shutting eyes on radical forces actions"

Russia blamed the West on Tuesday for an escalation of tension in Ukraine, saying it was a "direct result of connivance by Western politicians and European structures that have shut their eyes ... on the aggressive actions of radical forces". In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry called on the Ukrainian opposition to "refrain from threats and ultimatums and establish a substantive dialogue with the authorities with the aim of extricating the country from deep crisis."
