Rodrigues: Chief Commissioner to Present Budget Speech on March 28

Rodrigues Chief Commissioner has announced that he will deliver his budget speech on March 28. Emphasizing the need for greater equity, he urged the central government to address the disparities between Mauritius and Rodrigues.

Rodrigues’ development relies on financial resources allocated by the central government to the Regional Assembly. Speaking at National Day celebrations in Camp du Roi, Chief Commissioner Franceau Grandcourt highlighted Rodrigues’ role in the Republic’s progress.

He urged the central government to maintain its support for key projects on the island. Grandcourt also announced that he will present his second budget to the Regional Assembly on March 28.
