The Bank of Mauritius has decided to keep the Key Rate at 4.75%. While the global economy has shown resilience, growth prospects remain uncertain due to geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflicts in the Middle East.

The 2.8% growth forecast has also been maintained, while inflation could fall by around 0.5 percentage points to 5%. Despite this slight improvement, the Bank of Mauritius remains cautious.

Priscilla Muthoora Thakoor, Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, said that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will closely monitor developments in the economic situation.
