And if the dodo, the absolute icon of Mauritius, landed with us again? To bring to life the dodo, "Art Initiatives" tandem Nalini Treeboohun / Nirveda Alleck, embarked on an ambitious public art project: "The dodos are coming! ".
Nalini Treeboohun Nirveda Alleck and have invited artists to revisit the Mauritian dodo by tapping into their imagination, their artistic sensibility, to anchor the dodo in the reality of the day.
This exercise of contemporary art, unique, has and resulted in creations that call and thought-provoking. The "écolododo" Francoise Hardy, the "Dodobaba" Ravi Jetshan through "Eldorado" by Olivier Maingard or "dodo Mru army" of Emilien Jubeau, the project "landed dodos" leaves no one indifferent.
Launched Eureka, these creations have been exhibited to the public for the first time in Mahebourg in the celebrations of Grand Harbour. She had then for several months, is the delight of Anahita Sanctuary, in eastern Mauritius.
"The dodos land" is a project also unique in the approach of Arts Initiatives. This is, indeed, of art out of galleries and make it accessible to the general public.
