The National Remuneration Board (NRB), to revise the working conditions and wages in the private sector, just make its recommendations public. An average increase of 20% is proposed.

The recommended minimum wage during the first year of employment for a mechanical electrician grade 1, 11 and 111 passes of Rs 7017, Rs 6527 and Rs 6229 to Rs 8979, Rs 7846 and Rs 6975 respectively. This represents an increase of 28%, 20% and 12%, respectively.
NRB's proposal regarding the wages of a foreman in the electrical and mechanical equipment for the first three years is Rs 10,325, Rs 10,525 and Rs 10,725.
So far, it was respectively Rs 7658, Rs 7782 and Rs 7937. Here is the average increase of about 35%. The NRB also recommends that employees have the right to travel. He suggested that the granting of leave for a period not less than two months to intervene after 10 years of continuous service.
