The CCID Is Increasing For Big Cases

Central CID has strengthened its team with the arrival of a dozen investigators. They will have to tackle the big issues. Some of these cases involve the import of luxury cars in the 'Returning Resident Scheme', the case of joint accounts in the Mauritius Commercial Bank, the investigation that rocked the judiciary and others.
At first, the police will look at transactions company Dhaneswar Toolsee, SS Motor Point Ltd. This has facilitated the importation of Mercredes SLS 63 AMG that led Thierry Lagesse. The CCID suspect that the company has completed several transactions to qualify for tax rebates under the "Returning Resident Scheme '.
On the other hand, the Mauritius Revenue Authority submitted a dozen applications to CCID. These relate to alleged instances of fraud on luxury cars.
