Private Firm Interested in Mauritius Pride
A private firm could be interested in acquiring the MV Mauritius Pride . According to lexpress information, the firm has already approached the Mauritius Shipping Corporation (MSC) to visit the ship.

The Mauritius Pride stopped to service Mauritius-Rodrigues since January and is docked from the Ministry of Public Infrastructure took note of a report by the MSC technicians. This boat, commissioned in August 1990, fell down regularly lately.

Since it is docked, the MSC would have cost about Rs 4 million for staff salaries and maintenance of the ship. This is the reason why the organization wants the government to take a decision as soon as possible on this issue.
