New mixed for Mauritians aspiring to find a job abroad in the circular migration program. Because if Canada continues to recruit, this is no longer the case in France.

According to Karan Emerit, responsible for the program at the National Empowerment Foundation (NEF), the decision of France to the locks on hiring due to the economic crisis persisting beyond Europe. This, he says, contrasts with that of Canada, where we are looking for the Mauritian labor.

According to the officer of the NEF, now are companies based in Saskatchewan, a province located in the Western Canada seeking to recruit qualified Mauritians in skilled trades, including carpenters, forklift operators, plumbers, mechanics and industrial maintenance technicians. To be eligible for these jobs, Mauritians must have a minimum of two years experience, a good command of the language of Shakespeare and commit to honor a long-term contract.

Canada: hourly wage of Rs 583 to Rs 720

With regard to hiring in Canada, interview will be conducted by the recruitment agency Canadian Prudhomme from next week and until 18 current. Representatives are expected in the country this Sunday.

Selected candidates will receive an hourly wage ranging from Rs 583 (19.45 CAD) to Rs 720 (24.00). They will work 40 hours per week maximum. However, under Canadian law on tax deduction of 33% is imposed on income.

Between 2008 to date, or since the ratification of the bilateral agreement between Mauritius and Canada, they are 420 Mauritians to have been hired by Canadian companies. The last group left in January this year included 36 workers.
