
Parliamentarians will have 45 hours from this Monday to debate the 2024-2025 budget, before looking into the exercise of allocations to the various ministries and para-public bodies.
The agenda for the whole week has been published and the leader of the opposition will be able, according to his prerogatives, to ask a Private Notice Question each day, with the exception of this Tuesday's session.
Parliament will sit throughout this week. 45 hours to debate the last budget of this mandate, presented last Friday.
The opposition, which will have a little more than 16 hours, will open the ball with its leader, Arvin Boolell. The latter, who should be in action from the start of today's session, if he uses his prerogative to ask a Private Notice Question.
It should be remembered that an agreement was signed between the two sides of the House, namely that the speaking time of each side must be respected to the letter.
Tuesday's session will be reserved for debates on the supplementary budget of 6.7 billion rupees for additional expenditure by the Ministry of Health, that of Housing and other government initiatives for the financial year 2023-2024.
