
The Ministry of Education assures that all arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth running of the tests nationwide.
Final exams are scheduled for October 28-31, with French and science on the 28th, English on the 29th, history-geography on the 30th, and mathematics on October 31.
The third school term, recognized as the shortest of the year, promises to be crucial for thousands of students in Mauritius, Rodrigues, and Agalega. In fact, on Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3, things will get serious for Grade 6 students.
For Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) students, modular exams in science and then history and geography are scheduled for September 2 and 3. But the real big event is scheduled for October 28 to 31, with the final exams: French and science on the 28th, English on the 29th, history and geography on the 30th, and mathematics on October 31.
Private candidates as well as Grade 5 students registered with PSAC will follow the same schedule.
The younger students are not left out: Grades 1 to 3 students will take their exams from October 7 to 10, while those in Grades 4 and 5 will be assessed from October 14 to 17. The term will officially end on November 19.
On the middle school side, candidates for the School Certificate (SC) and Higher School Certificate (HSC) will begin their exams on September 18. The former will focus on Food and Nutrition and Foreign Languages, while the latter will begin with Design & Textiles. On September 19, the SC will continue with Art & Design, and the HSC with Food Studies.
The exams will be held over nearly two months, ending on November 15 for the SC, with the English oral exam, and on November 13 for the HSC, with the multiple-choice chemistry exam.
