The aim of the Festival is to offer a new and unusual event on the Cote d'Azur to encourage more people to discover the tropical music in a context of celebration and relaxation.
The Festival of Mauritius and the Indian Ocean is under the sign of sharing and discovery with the public culture of Nice. This is an opportunity to discover musical and cultural events for three days: musical performances, demonstrations of traditional dances, tasting of specialties, exhibition of handicrafts and arts.
Festive and friendly, the Festival of 2011 will see the union grow with Creole communities of the two hemispheres: the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. This is an opportunity to delve into the current music of Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles under the bright sun of the Côte d'Azur.
