Towards the professionalization of the hotel sector. The tourism industry in the region Antsinanana just received a real boost.Based in Toamasina, Madagascar and service Catering International (CSI) announced the creation of a hotel school in the eastern city. A partnership agreement with the Ministry of Tourism was signed at the Hotel Colbert, yesterday, to demonstrate its willingness to invest in sustainable tourism.
"It was found that the poor quality of our services is a handicap for the tourism sector. The establishment of this school will provide a quality workforce, "said Jean Max Rakotomamonjy, Minister of Tourism.
The school will be built within the precincts of the University of Toamasina. Moisand Jean Pierre, the executive director of CIS Madagascar, reassures it will also benefit from public status. There should be no tuition. The school will include, among others, a restaurant, a kitchen and rooms for practical applications.
Investment
It is capable of accommodating fifteen apprentices promotion. The courses will be taught by professionals from the capital.
The CIS also plans to bring in trainers teacher at his school in Marseille. In any case, the future of Toamasina school will open in September.
"Our job is to go abroad. We can not work with the concept of short-term. We're used to invest a portion of what we earn in local development of our area of ??intervention, "said Jean Pierre Moisand about the reasons that led the CIS to invest in the establishment of the school.
This company is present in Madagascar since 2008. It provides catering to the Ambatovy project and serves over 40,000 meals per day. She is already involved in the socioeconomic development of the region.
