Metro Express Ltd not operational tomorrow morning, Wednesday May 1st “due to safety & security risks”

Unlike last year when the Morisien alliance was the only political party in a “meeting”, Metro Express Ltd trams will not transport citizens this year, more precisely tomorrow Wednesday May 1st for those who would like to go to Vacoas, Rose-Hill or even in Port-Louis where various meetings will be held.
Metro Express Ltd cites “safety & security risks” as the reason without specifying the nature of the risks that frighten them.
Remember that this Wednesday, May 1, marks the celebration of Labor Day. Political rallies will be held simultaneously in Vacoas, Rose-Hill and Port-Louis.
With buses already involved in political organizations, the public will likely have difficulty getting around in the first part of tomorrow.
Note that apart from mentioning (safety & security risks) as a reason, Metro Express Ltd does not provide further details regarding the risks. The communications manager of the public transport company could not be reached by telephone at the time of publication of this article.
This public transport will therefore only be available to the public from 2 p.m.
