Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam will this afternoon officially open the Triolet bypass, which forms part of the framework of the Road Decongestion Programme and will connect Triolet to Goodlands through the village of Fond du Sac.
Built by Colas Mauritius, the bypass has cost approximately Rs225 million. It extends over a distance of 5.4km and includes the construction of five roundabouts and a bridge.
The bypass is expected to significantly save the time of drivers travelling in the Northeast region, especially in Grand Bay, Trou aux Biches, Péreybère, Cap Malheureux and Fond du Sac.
