The management has decided to provide the new NHDC complex with swimming pools, kiosks near swimming pools, barbecue corners, playgrounds for children, several green spaces, parking areas near the apartments, and a more effective trusteeship.
These will be the main features of the NHDC flats which will be sold between Rs 3.4 to Rs 3.9 million.
The construction works will start in April at Pavillon, Cap Malheureux.
Sixty-six apartments are planned to be built at a cost of Rs 175 million.
The architectural aspect will be looked into by Marc Foo Kune, the team leader for the designs.
Four blocks of apartments are planned and the ground floor area will be 2199m2.
The new apartments will have four floors.
Thirty-six of these will have with three bedrooms, 12 with two bedrooms and 18 with one bedroom.
Parking areas for 90 vehicles, green spaces and essential services such as water, drainage systems, electricity and telecommunications will be provided.
The parking space will have access to Vingt Pieds, the road which links Péreybère, Petit Raffray and Goodlands.
There will be pedestrian crossings and generators will be installed to deal with power cuts.
Provision has been made to ensure that prospective residents can install air conditioners and television sets in at least two places in each apartment.
A water treatment station is also ear-marked.
If the project is successful, the NHDC will put up similar complexes in other areas.
