The average yield on 10-year Mauritian Treasury bonds fell to 8.23 percent at auction on Wednesday from 8.46 percent at the previous sale in December.
The Bank of Mauritius again rejected many of the bids and sold fewer bonds than it had put on offer.
The central bank had offered 2 billion rupees ($69 million) of the 8.75 percent bonds maturing on July 9, 2020. It received bids worth 3.1 billion but only sold bonds worth 939 million.
In December, it received bids woth 2.73 billion and only sold 311 million rupees of the bonds.
The bids ranged from a yield of 7.50 percent to 9.90 percent and the highest accepted yield was 9.0 percent.
