BAI Co. Ltd. has again fully supported a series of empowerment inter-action sessions under the Women In Networking (WIN) Leadership Programme (LP). A group of 18 women who completed the programme graduated on Friday after nine days of experience sharing digging from their inner self and respective life path.
WIN launched the programme in May 2008 aiming to train 300 women leaders in batches over 10 years. The recent graduates belong to the WLP Batch No. 5. BAI was the sponsor of the WLP 2-5 under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Miss Reena Moonoosamy, Senior Vice President, Customer Relations and Operations, said that her company has always recognised the importance and contribution of women in Mauritian society, be they at home, at the workplace or elsewhere. So far, some 100 WLP graduates have benefited from the BAI CSR-funded training.
During the graduation ceremony at the BAI’s Hall of Fame, Curepipe, Mr Bruneau Woomed, WLP National Coordinator and head coach, said that he had been privileged to witness the transformation in each of these graduates.
The WLP project team also consists of Mrs Georgina Ragaven, Mrs Jane Valls, a role model, and Mrs Sandra Viljoen. According to Mrs Ragaven, WLP 6 will be launched shortly, with courses due to start as from early June.
