The Mauritius Union Group Tennis Open will be organised from April 23 to May 7 at the Petit Camp National Tennis Centre, Phoenix.
The tennis tournament is an initiative of the Mauritius Union Group, in collaboration with the Mauritius Tennis Federation (MTF).
Speaking at a press meet held in the premises of Mauritius Union in Port Louis on Wednesday, Kris Lutchmeenaraidoo, the company’s chief executive officer said that for the group, sport is a path to values like discipline, perseverance and success.
“Hence after golf and cycling, it is through tennis that the Mauritius Union Group has chosen to continue its contribution to the development of the sports sector in Mauritius,” said Lutchmeenaraidoo.
He added that the collaboration was in line with the group’s strategy to promote sports in Mauritius. “ We wanted to maintain our support to the MTF to provide opportunities for youngsters. Sports activities are essential for physical balance and better health ,” said the CEO.
