A financing agreement to the tune of approximately Rs 230 million for the second phase of the Decentralised Cooperation Programme (DCP II) was signed on May 6, in Port Louis, between the government of Mauritius and the European Union (EU).
The agreement was signed by the vice prime minister, minister of Finance and Economic Development Pravind Jugnauth, and the head of the delegation of the European Union in Mauritius, Alessandro Mariani.
This was done in the presence of vice prime minister, minister of Social Integration and Economic Empowerment Xavier Duval.
At the signing ceremony, Duval made an appeal to all stakeholders involved in the fight against poverty to work together.
