Mauritius’s sugar revenue will probably rise 11 percent per metric ton in 2011, l’Express reported, citing Jean-Noel Humbert, chief executive officer of the Mauritius Sugar Syndicate.
Revenue is expected to climb to 15,000 rupees ($536) a ton compared with 13,535 rupees last year, the Port Louis-based newspaper reported, as the country produces more refined and specialty sugars.
