Imagemaker, school of grooming and modelling in collaboration with the company Right Turn is presenting a fashion show on September 25 which will also mark the launch of Imagemaker.
The show is being sponsored by Le Matinal and The Independent. It will be held at the Serge Constantin from 1 pm to 3 pm. The show is open for the public and tickets are on sale at Rs 150.
Vaninee Sookha, trainer as well as creator of the Imagemaker stated that this fashion show will include lots of colours. “We will use lots of colours that are used in our cultures,” adding, that the music will be very original, on which she is working personally with a DJ. Sookha stated that grooming not only means how to master make up and fashion show techniques, it also includes how to behave in public, communicate and dress up. It aims to teach models to communicate with self confidence through their clothes which is not an easy task. “Imagemaker creates a professional image that enhances your organisation’s reputation and public image,” she added.
The school is already operational since April and has already started training many youngsters.
Sookha said that she had noticed that there are many beautiful girls in Mauritius who are already models but unfortunately have not undergone proper modelling training. For example, they do not know what a full turn, beat, rhythm is.”
She added, “They know how to dance to music but they do not know how to walk for the music which is very important for a model,” stated Sookha, who has been a former top model in Mumbai
