
About 60 artists, both famous and less famous ones have displayed their works as this event serves a platform that provides an opportunity for emerging talents to prove themselves.
Anwar Rasool, centre manager of Phoenix Les Halles stated that since 2009 this Living Arts Expo has become an annual event where artists display their works which aims at giving opportunity to everybody to expose their work and promoting their talent as far as possible.
About 60 artists have exposed their work and in addition to the sculptures and traditional techniques in painting, there are also “peinture à l’ouïe” art work on recycled materials such as wood and cardboard, digital photography. During week days the exhibition will be open from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm.
On the other hand, Koraysha Dhunputh Marketing Manager of Phoenix Les Halles stated that as Phoenix Les Halles is a place visited by families, hence activities such as street painting will also be organised for children from 12 to 2 pm on Saturdays. There will also be executions of giant murals and sketches on during week end from noon.
