Offer courses tailored to members of the police force. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to this effect this Friday, Sept. 30 by representatives of the University of Mauritius and the police force.
Various points on this course have already been identified and funding was approved by the Office of the Prime Minister. This project is part of the National Policing Strategic Framework (NPSF), launched in February 2010 by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam.

He also welcomed the willingness of the police force to "become a force to a service. "
Courses in computer technology will begin in October and will affect some 3,500 police officers over the next five years. This module will enable trainees to use a computer properly. Two other programs are also available, including Law and Management and Police Duties.
