Ideal platform to offer services in Africa
Many consulting firms providing services in financial auditing in Mauritius. However, they are very little to offer services on the audit.

Bramston & Associates, consulting firm showing ten years of existence in Mauritius is different from other thanks to its advanced services. Ritesh Mulliah, a consultant at Bramston & Associates us an update.

What are the activities Bramston & Associates?

Bramston & Associates brings together global companies with the mutual commitment to promote sustainable development, ecological balance and social progress while working for economic growth. Our members are drawn from the North and South of the main industrial sectors. We also have a global network of consultants and partner organizations. Bramston & Associates strives to create a positive impact on business and society in general in each country where it operates. We focus on strategy and execution of our business and we strive to satisfy our customers with impeccable service and consistent. We have a wealth of experience and inter multifunctional. We are currently present in North America, Asia and Mauritius.

How Bramston & Associates is different does other consulting firms?

We act as an investor in sustainable projects. We provide management consulting and technology. Most consulting firms in Mauritius provide financial audit services. There is a big difference between the financial audit system and information technology. An audit is a review of management controls in an IT infrastructure.Assessment of evidence obtained whether the computer systems safeguard assets, maintain the accuracy of the data and operating effectively to achieve the objectives of the organization. These revisions can be performed in conjunction with an audit of the financial statement, internal audit, or any other form of commitment statement.Indeed, the audit focuses on controls and risk management. Since the implementation of "Basel 2", with regard to financial companies the emphasis is on risk management. So there is an international trend is to separate the audit of the financial audit. Bramston & Associates decided to focus on the audit only in Mauritius. This to avoid any conflict of interest with the financial audit. One of our characteristics is that all our team leaders of the audit are all "Certified Information System Auditors' (CISA) displaying more than ten years experience in the field of IT.The CISA program is the globally accepted standard among professionals in auditing, control and information security since 1978. There are very few in Mauritius and less than ten in the audit board.

What were your goals by implanting in Mauritius?

We believe that there are still opportunities for development in Mauritius associated with sustainable investment . Mauritius can be an ideal platform for providing services in Africa. A Bramston & Associates, we believe that our future depends on choices we make today. If we want a better life for ourselves and for future generations, we must use the power of markets and trade to make changes. Our goal is to become a major player in the basin of the western Indian Ocean as in the development of sustainable enterprises in the development of regional economic growth through the creation of new businesses. We do this by providing advice and transforming promising ideas into full business plans. We help companies budding by providing opportunities to create more value, and by providing appropriate assistance to our development solutions.

What are those areas where you excel?

Our service areas are the alternative investment advisory ', management consulting, technology audit, legal services and audit.

How many people do you employ and what are your projects in Mauritius and the region?

We have a team in Mauritius over 15 senior consultants. We also have other employees in other branches of the region. We plan to expand our company in Mauritius and Rodrigues. We are currently in discussion on various projects and we intend to invest $ 40 million in Mauritius.

Bramston will celebrate its tenth anniversary in Mauritius next year. How would you describe the performance of the local branch of the company during the past decade?

We always strive to be different from other companies and it shows by the niche markets we serve. We are not only a leader in our target markets, but we have also paved the way for other organizations that have not yet begun offering the services that we offer. We have been appointed in recent years the only computer audit firm in Mauritius.

What is your assessment of the importance of local firms to provide IT expertise and the audit of the infrastructure?

Companies consider that the computer is more costly than profitable. The trend began to change in recent years through seminars on risk. However, some companies realize the importance of information technology. It is a work in progress and we are moving towards the right direction.
