Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) director Professor Lucien Finette stated that everything was moving smoothly. “The marking is another big step after all the copies have been coded; sample marking and schemes have been designed. On Monday, a briefing meeting was held with examiners,” he said.
Finette added that the correction is done by different teams. “The questionnaires are not corrected by only one person but by multiple people,” he said.
“Six marking centres have been identified and the exercise is expected to be over by November 23,” he said. The exercise is being conducted from 8.15 am to 3.30 pm during weekdays.
In Mauritius, 26,078 students took part in the CPE, 13,205 boys and 11,762 girls, while in Rodrigues there were 589 boys and 522 girls.
