Mauritius in the Global Network of Emirates Airlines

Emirates Airlines and the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation signed January 15, 2012, an agreement to promote Mauritius as a destination of choice, through the global network of the airline Emirates. .

The two partners will work together to develop a series of activities to increase the visibility of Mauritius around a hundred destinations served by that airline

The signing of the agreement took place at of the Emirates in Dubai. Maurice was represented by the Minister of Tourism and Recreation, Michael Sik Yuen, the Permanent Secretary of the Department, Premila Roy, and Robert Desvaux and Dr. Karl Mootoosamy respectively president and director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. Majid Al Mualla, Emirates 'Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations - West Asia and Indian Ocean, and Oomar Ramtoola, Emirates' Manager for the islands of the Indian Ocean, represented the Emirates.

"It is indeed a new opportunity for Mauritius to enable the country to have new marketing strategies to target, through the Emirates Airline, the Middle East and markets devices and Nordic countries in Europe, " said Minister of Tourism and Recreation, Michael Sik Yuen. 

"Our country continues to improve and innovate constantly in order to attract more tourists in various fields, such as golf, tourism Medical, cruising, shopping and domestic tourism. The main objective is to make Mauritius the "World's Leading Island Destination. This cooperation between Mauritius and Emirates Airlines aims to attract upscale visitors with a capacity greater than spend " concluded Minister Michael Sik Yuen.  

For his part, Mr. Al. Mualla said that "Mauritius is a great product and is an important part of our network. We firmly believe in its potential and higher Our regular flights on this route shows that our strategy of promotion brings concrete results. We take this opportunity to thank the Government of Mauritius for their trust and support placed in us. " During their mission, the Mauritian delegation also met Tim Clark President of Emirates Airline.
