A colorful room where originality was the key word. This is the challenge that attempted to meet Rajesh Dindoyal, director of communications agency Odysseus. Salon de la Communication is nothing like the other shows organized at Swami Vivekananda Conference Centre at straws. The exhibition welcomed many young people and other fans of the world of communication.
At the opening of the exhibition was held a costume parade, typically used by companies to events. In his opening speech, Rajesh Dindoyal wished to acknowledge the contribution of professionals passionate communication.
" All those who participated in this event are inspired by passion. I felt him coming in and you will feel it too. This is an opportunity for these people to meet and share their skills, knowledge , "says the director of Odysseus.
Montocchio Vincent, director of advertising agency Circus and president of the Association of Advertising Agencies (AAA), has, for its part, asserted that "the platform reflected the maturity of the sector of communication."
For participants, this event represents an opportunity to meet with clients and other potential customers but also competitors.Audrey Vas, director of Eruption Studio, an advertising agency, says that the two-day event for professionals give it the opportunity to become better known in the field.
" We are increasingly known in Mauritius. We take the momentum and we have a strategic partner, Media Rental, allowing the rental of equipment for filming , "says Audrey Vas.
Other companies, like Unicorn or Bluefish or Sweet Spot Marketing, use this platform to come forward and do the marketing for their products. Evelyne Ramdiane Gallien, director of Sweet Spot, specializes in the manufacture of confectionery and sweets, enjoy the show to get noticed by other companies.
" Our clients are primarily individuals but we are targeting a larger market. We realized that there are business opportunities with organizations that create events , "says Evelyne Ramdiane Gallien.
Due to the success of these first hours of show, organizers plan to repeat the experiment in July 2013. The Salon of communication looks set to become the platform for professionals in the region in recent years.
