World Travel Awards 2012: Air Mauritius...
In a regional ranking dominated by the Maldives and the Seychelles, Mauritius is anyway managed to pull out of the game with the awards obtained by Air Mauritius and Port-Louis, "World Travel Awards ".

The national airline has indeed retained his title as the best airline in the Indian Ocean as well as the Port-Louis once again voted "best cruise port." 

This is the seventh consecutive year that Air Mauritius, the national airline of Mauritius, won the title of "Best Airline of the Indian Ocean." This year Air Mauritius was in competition with Air Austral, Air France-KLM, Air Madagascar, Air Seychelles and South African Airways.

It is therefore the Maldives have monopolized this year, rewards the classification of the Indian Ocean. The archipelago, in fact, won the title "Leading airport", "Leading Cruise Destination", "Leading Destination", "Leading honeymoon destination" and "Leading Tourism Board." Several awards also went to hotel establishments present in the Maldives.

We note, moreover, that the "Hilton" was named for the third consecutive time, as the "leading brand" of the Indian Ocean.

Classification by countries, "World Travel Awards" were rewarded Paradis Hotel & Golf Club (Mauritius' leading golf resort), the "Meridian" (Mauritius' leading hotel), "Maradiva" (Mauritius' Leading Resort) Hilton Mauritius and Resort & Spa (Mauritius' Leading Spa Resort)

The World Travel Awards, rendezvous World Tourism reward for 19 years of excellence in all areas of travel and tourism. This distinction is the result of the vote for professionals in this sector (policy makers, buyers, tour operators, travel agencies) and the public.
