Picture of the Day: Waves of Time
Shaped over thousands of years by the crashing waves, Kannesteinen Rock is a beautiful, heart-shaped formation located in the village of Oppedal, Norway, approximately 10 km west of the centre of Måløy. While difficult to gauge the size in the particular photograph, the rock is about three feet high (0.9 meters) and wide enough for three or four people to stand on.

The rock has become a popular tourist destination and in recent years a wheelchair friendly path and viewing platform have even been created.

Picture of the Day: The Studley Tool Chest

Master craftsman Henry O. Studley (1838-1925) was an organ and piano maker, carpenter, and mason. He is best known for building this incredible tool chest during his tenure at the Poole Piano Company in Massachusetts, working on it over the course of 30 years. Using ebony, mother-of-pearl, ivory, rosewood, and mahogany – all materials used in the manufacture of pianos – he refined the chest to the point that, even now in the 21st century, it is still in a class by itself.
