Opening of the FIFA Congress: Grandiose!

A great show, representing different facets of Mauritian multicultural society was organized at the center Swami Vivekananda at Pailles, Thursday at the opening of the 63rd Congress of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA).

Fusion music, African, Asian and modern dances were in the program. This event was preceded by the screening of a video showing the various natural sites in the country and infrastructure development. A stamp inspired by the famous 'Blue Penny' and hit the FIFA logo was launched on this occasion.

The Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam who performed the opening ceremony in the presence of FIFA president Sepp Blatter. In his speech, the prime minister said that football transcends barriers and it is important to have a team to maintain unity.

Sepp Blatter, he argued that the country has come since Maurice loves football.

Sepp Blatter welcomes Mauritian hospitality

"Addressing the delegates of 209 countries, Sepp Blatter should welcome them before expressing his joy to meet again to discuss and vote on the implementation of the decisions for the Future of FIFA while sharing the same passion that unite all fans "the beautiful game".

Navin Ramgoolam has also made a fervent tribute to Ram Ruhee who was a member of the IOC and FIFA. Blatter pays tribute to Ram Ruhee
