HSBC: Dean Lam Succeeds James Boucher
Dean Lam was appointed managing director of HSBC Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, whose operations are concentrated in the area of Global Business. On July 1, he officially takes over at James Boucher, who will occupy new positions at HSBC in Hong Kong, that after three and a half years in Mauritius.

Dean Lam is well known in the local business community was having at the head of the Corporate Banking division of domestic branch of HSBC. He joined HSBC in August 2000 as chief financial officer. He was transferred to two years in Hong Kong before returning to Mauritius in June 2009. In addition to ensuring the smooth operations of HSBC Bank (Mauritius) Ltd in the area of Global Business, Dean Lam will have a say in the corporate banking, financial transactions related to trade, the system of payments and cash management at HSBC Mauritius.

HSBC direction hosted a reception to mark the departure of James Boucher and the appointment of Dean Lam at the head of the offshore bank. Alastair Bryce Country CEO of HSBC Mauritius, thanking James Boucher for his contribution to the development of the bank's operations in a restrictive economic environment, has expressed his confidence that Dean Lam will rely on his experience of the business environment to strengthen the presence of the financial institution in Mauritius.

's new managing director of HSBC Bank (Mauritius) Ltd has hinted that his priorities will be to increase the visibility of Mauritius as a financial center in the Asia-Africa corridor and contribute to raise the profile of Mauritius as a reliable and respected financial center in the region.
