10 years, 8 months ago - July 25, 2013
Much of the sugar cane fields, is between 250 and 300 acres ready for harvest, went up in smoke in the day Wednesday. The fire began Barlow to 13 hours to be finally overcame Mont-Piton to 18 hours.

The origin of the fire in cane is yet to be determined. Moreover, no formal statement has been obtained from the police stations areas where fire has made havoc.

However, police said that firefighters had to be done. It also appears that the wind did not play in their favor. If the fire did not damage the housing, the smoke, by cons, affected visibility for motorists.

In addition, two other cases of fire in houses were reported to City Farm and Valley-Pitot.
