Increase in Bus Fares: Bachoo Backtracked

The increase in the price of the bus ticket finally not take effect today, August 1st. This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Public Infrastructure, Anil Bachoo Wednesday July 31. The reason: the wage increase of 19% over three years, accepted by the bus workers but has not received the agreement of the unions.

Already in the course of the day, many were on the frontlines to denounce the rise in the price of the ticket. PMAC had specifically asked members of the public to boycott the mode of transport.
