Water: More Cuts Are on the Horizon
CWA sounding the alarm. To the overall decline in reservoir filling and low rainfall, water shortages are expected in the East and in other parts of the island. A meeting is scheduled for this Friday, August 16 will be considered where the rainfall across the island.

So far, it is mainly the regions as Olivia, Kewal Nagar, Deep River, and Trou d'Eau Douce and Montée Bastille, which undergo a strict diet of water cuts. But it is not ruled out that they should be extended to other parts of the island. Bishek Narain, head of communications at the Central Water Authority (CWA) argues that "will focus on the situation throughout the country because it is not only tanks but also groundwater and capacity rivers ". 

Statistics from the meteorological station of Vacoas already show a very low rainfall. The only region to have welcomed the rain Mare aux Vacoas, with 2.8 mm of rain according to the latest figures from August 14. See the table below.
