Air Mauritius: Panic at the Board

 Ten minutes after takeoff flight MK 034 to Paris last Saturday, passengers were informed that there was a problem. One of them says he found that one of the aircraft's engines had stopped working due to an explosion of an engine. The aircraft then lost altitude and speed.

According to this witness, the pilot told them that for security reasons, we had to empty all kerosene before they could land. The plane circled over and over an hour in the air before landing at Plaisance.

Contacted, Air Mauritius indicates that the MK 034 flight took off around 22 pm Saturday and 50 that a problem has been reported in one of the reactors during the flight. The pilot decided to return to Piacenza and landed the aircraft safely at 00 h 30 says Fooad Nooraully, spokesman for the national airline.

Repairs have been carried out on the aircraft. And another device was chartered to ship the passengers finally left Placentia at 02 h 22.

So, no aircraft was available to operate the flight MK 032 of which was Sunday, October 6 from 45 to 20 h. It has therefore been rescheduled to 9 pm Monday, Oct. 7 30.
