South and West Supplied with Water Once a Day

A beginning today Monday, October 14, residents of the South and West will receive six hours of drinking water supply. The reason: the two main sources of the Central Water Authority (CWA) institutions within these areas have dried up dramatically in a very short time.

The people of the South and West will be patient. From this Monday, October 14 they will not be supplied with water once a day for six hours. This because the two main sources of the CWA which supply water in these areas have suddenly dried up dramatically.

Among the affected villages: Coteaux-Raffin, The Tamarin, Case Noyale, Ilot Fortier, Grind Gambier, Dilo Puri and Le Morne, among others. These places will be supplied with water between 15 hours and 21 hours only. According Bhishek Narain, head of communications of the CWA, this time period was chosen in consultation with the inhabitants of the regions concerned.
