Make purchases of up to Rs 10,000 and pay by SMS. This is what makes the new mobile payment service that offers Mauritius Telecom (MT) through Orange Money . The service was officially launched in partnership with the State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) on Thursday November 7. However, it is only available at retailers displaying the logo Orange Money .
And another form of payment, this time to traders, was also launched today. Those who market the E-voucher and prepaid cards can now power on behalf of their dedicated to these services up to a maximum of Rs 10,000 without having to move in any branch of MT cell. But they must first register an Orange Shop.
Registration of retailers has also started on Thursday. And a caravan will tour the island to promote both mobile payment services. To date, 15,000 subscribers have registered to Orange Money.
