SAPMER Inaugurates New Processing Plant Tuna

This unit with a total area of 5023 square meters includes offices and an area for 'fish processing' of 2500 square meters, where 21,000 tonnes of raw tuna will be processed annually.

Factory Sea Mascarene group also operates in Port Louis. This plant, which exists since 2008, has a processing capacity of 9,000 tonnes of tuna per year and a storage capacity of 1,800 tons at -40 ° C.

"With these two plants, the Sapmer group will annually process 30,000 tons of raw tuna in Mauritius. The main export countries are Asia, Japan and those in Europe, among others, "said Yannick Lauri, CEO SAPMER to the press.
