Digital Identity Card Will Contain Medical Data

Two new conversion centers in Curepipe and Triolet

At the conversion of the identity card, to date, more than 200,000 people have already begun the process to obtain the new ID card. And to better manage the flow of people, from March 2 other conversion centers will be built in Curepipe and Triolet.

Rao Rama believes that many will then go to different centers of conversion. "Hence the need to set up two additional centers" , he says. 

Ten centers existing conversions, he says, it is mainly those located in Port Louis, Flacq, Goodlands and Vacoas are crowded, especially in the morning.  

According to Rao Rama, is soon to happen "4,000 registrations per day" . And the end of March, they will be more than 300 000 have registered for the new card.
