BPML Job Fair : un Millier D’emplois à Pourvoir

Twenty-three private sector companies, thirteen of which are in the category BPO / ICT seven call centers, two universities and a recruitment agency will gather under one roof to hire.

Veena Ramdhur, Marketing Manager BPML, a thousand jobs are at stake. Among the companies that recruit include Middlesex University, Orange Business Services, Outremer Telecom, Accenture, and Alentaris CCA International.

Organizers say they expect large crowds since unemployment prevails because of the difficult economic situation. A report by the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) published last November, indicates that there is 20,000 of which 5,000 young graduates who are unemployed. The unemployment rate for 2013 was 8.2%.

At the Mauritius Employers' Federation (MEF), it was noted that the recovery based on two main pillars, namely an improvement of the global economic situation and budgetary measures, including the renewal of the Youth Employment Programme (YEP) and the introduction of Dual Apprenticeship Scheme and the Back to Work Scheme for women.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the National Coast Guard, the Department of Social Security and the Ministry of Gender Equality, Child Development and Well-being of the family are among the institutions that will be expanded .
