Give wings to those who want to pursue a career in aviation. This is the goal that is set Ground2Air , a company of IBL group. It launched the Ground2Air Training Academy , a training institution for Mauritians, Quatre-Bornes. The first students have already started classes.

Ground2Air offers certifications IATA approved by the Mauritius Qualifications Authority . Among the courses offered: Airline Passenger Service, Air Cargo Training Programme, Airport Ramp Services and Airport Operations. The courses will be followed by practical training and students will benefit from hands-on experience.

Philippe Hannelas, Manager at Ground2Air, explains that " Ground2Air had been training professionals in the field of aviation and cargo, and given the growing demand for occupations related to the airport, we decided to open our Academy for public . " Moreover, the two open days held at Bagatelle Shopping Mall and Mahebourg Waterfront attracted a large number of visitors.

A Waheeda Serally, Department of Marketing, declared that " all the way on the business of the airport will soon be offered by the Academy . "
