Dengue: Hundred of SMF at Solitude and Morcellement St-André

Thus, at 16. 30, Wednesday, March 26, accompanied by several officers of the department, members of the SMF mobilized on a football field in Solitude. They subsequently divided into teams of ten, before starting the exercises fumigation and spraying of larvicide. 

It was only after 18 hours that the SMF is down to Grind-St-André, where a case of dengue was listed. The teams first met in the parking lot of Lolo Supermarket, where they were instructed officers of the Ministry of Health.

Members of the SMF are moved by house to house. They conducted an exercise spreading larvicide in areas where there are accumulations of water. A local resident, Kishan Jagoo, aged thirty years, told the Express that this is the first time he witnessed such a display of the SMF. He said it had taken the necessary steps to protect themselves against dengue.

Ministry of Health launched a major awareness campaign. Brochures and repellents such as "sandal moustik" and cream "Vape Mat" were distributed. And more than 3000 posters as Informative were displayed at Triolet and surrounding areas.
