ICAC s’intéresse aux avoirs de l’Island Chief Exec
’est demain, vendredi 11 octobre, que Davis Hee Hong Whye sera interrogé par les officiers de l’Independent Commision against Corruption (ICAC). Cela, suivant une plainte déposée contre lui dans le cadre d'une affaire de corruption impliquant Rs 11 millions.

Le chef de la Fonction publique et l’Island Chief Executive de Rodrigues a été convoqué par l’ICAC, ce jeudi 10 octobre et a pris connaissances des allégations portées contre lui. Cela, dans le cadre d’un projet de construction de quatre unités de dessalement dans l’île, sous sa responsabilité.

Davis Hee Hong Whye est arrivé dans les locaux de l’ICAC vers 13 heures et y a passé une heure. Il est ensuite reparti récupérer des documents officiels à son bureau en compagnie de son avocat. L’équipe de l’ICAC est arrivée avec un expert-comptable qui compte passer au peigne fin les comptes personnels du chef de la Fonction publique ainsi que ses avoirs au sein de divers compagnies. La commission anticorruption compte faire une analyse complète de sa situation financière.

Ces allégations remontent à 2013. Le projet avait alors été partiellement complété. Le «contracteur» avait abandonné le projet alors que le paiement complet avait été effectué.
