Slow internet speed: Two underwater cables damaged and reportedly under repair

You have no doubt observed that the internet connection has been slow since yesterday.

Repairs began on the Lower Indian Ocean Network Lion/Lion 2 cable since Monday. At the same time, the two other fiber optic underwater cables WATS and SACS located on the west coast of the African continent were damaged. This is the reason given by Mauritius Telecom through a statement on Tuesday.
