HSC Results: Pass rate of 84.4% for the Republic of Mauritius

The students worked better this year compared to 2019. This is the observation of the director of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Brenda Thanacoody Soborun.
In front of the press this afternoon, she explained that it was necessary to compare this year's figures with those of 2019, i.e. before the arrival of Covid 19, because "the criteria for correcting exam papers came back as before ".
Brenda Thanacoody Soborun was to highlight that 7528 candidates took part in the examinations for the Republic of Mauritius. Among them are 244 candidates from Rodrigues. In total, 6,354 students passed.
This year, girls did better than boys, with a success rate of 86.3% compared to 81.5%.
As for subjects, the success rate in English is 94.4%, 96.3% in French and 46.8% in mathematics.
