Microsoft has announced the appointment of Paul Bunting as the company‘s new country manager for the Indian Ocean and French Pacific Islands (IOFP). Prior to his appointment as the head of Microsoft IOFP, Bunting served as the small and medium business channel head. He has also managed the anti-piracy initiatives at Microsoft for the last six years.
He replaces Michel Cordani and will now lead the IOFP team towards fulfilling Microsoft’s vision for French speaking islands region.
Bunting said, “This is a very exciting career move for me and I am delighted to have received this recognition. Given my existing relationship with the government, customers, partners and consumers, I feel well poised to embrace this challenge and build these relationships further. The next year in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) landscape across the French speaking islands is set to be incredibly exciting from a business development perspective. It will include significant growth in cloud computing and the wealth of Microsoft‘s business and consumer product offering. We can all be the difference!”
At 35, Bunting is amongst Microsoft‘s youngest country managers and his informal, dynamic and interactive approach is sure to extend the company‘s success. Paul joined the team in 2005.
