Budget 2012 - Kee Chong Li Kwong Wing condemns a tax increase for extravagant spending

While the finance minister, Xavier-Luc Duval said there is "a significant drop in state revenues for the year 2011" and 2012, will be difficult especially in the areas of export and tourism, Kee Chong Li Kwong Wing, MP and spokesperson of the Economic Committee of MMM shows him hostile to any increase in taxes, including value added tax (VAT).

"We see clearly that the government is out of breath and short of ideas. Following the downturn in the economy and growth that we see, the government still believes he can make money out of people's pockets to finance his extravagant spending, "fulminates Kee Chong Li Kwong Wing.

"If a government can not increase growth, increase investment, increase living standards in the country and protect the most vulnerable in society, we say it is high time to change this government, "says Kee Chong Li Kwong Wing.
